Why is Fast Food so Bad? #5

In the article "Why is Fast Food so Bad" by The Training Studio, information is released on what fast food can really do to your body. A known fact is that people usually buy food from places like McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. because of how cheap it is. The only thing people don't realize, is one of the main harms it can do is clog up your arteries and lead to heart disease. People see many advertisements of fast food places on the TV, internet, and other sources. From this article, it reads that every ad shown increases the amount of hamburgers and fries sold than salads. The prices are even increasing for the price of fattening foods and cheaper for salads, but the problem is the higher prices are being bought more.
After reading this article, I definitely have to agree with all the facts shown. In this society today, you see more obesity and diabetics than ever before. People are spending their money every day on unhealthy foods but not caring a less. This article does mention how exercise can help prevent these issues if you consume this type of food daily, but another issue is that body really exercises on a daily basis, especially after eating a Big Mac or so. The brightest move for anyone to make would be to cut fast food out of their diet completely. This would help many people in many ways and for the rest of their life.

Interaction

On Saturday May 1,2010 Katelyn Booker and I ate fast food for all three meals, with no exercise. On Tuesday May 4, 2010 we both ate three healthy meals. On these two days we were seeing what effects eating fast food had on us. On Saturday for breakfast we ate at Chick-fil-a and had a chicken biscuit with hashbrowns. For lunch we went to Milo's and had chicken fingers and french fries. For dinner we went to Zaxby's and got a chicken sanwhich with french fries. On Tuesday, the day we ate healthy for breakfast I ate Granola, and an apple. For lunch I ate a turkey sandwhich and baked chips. For dinner I had a grilled chicken salad.
What I learned from this was that on Saturday when I ate all fast food, I felt like I had no energy. My body felt full, and I felt fat all day. I feel like the fats from all of the fried foods had just taken away all my energy. I tried to run a mile like I do everyday, and it was very difficult and it was definatly a struggle, where as normally I could do very fast, with almost no problem at all. On Tuedsay the day I ate healthy, I just felt as if I had so much energy. I felt great about myself and my stomach never really got full, but I wasn't hungry all day. When I went to run, I did it so easily, I even ran a little bit extra because I just felt good about the way I was treating my body.Through this I learned that fast food really does affect your body. When eating fast food I felt nasty and fat and I felt like I was mistreating my body, but when I ate healthy I know I was treating my body right.
